Mobility, stability, flexibility, balanced strength and wellbeing are the core elements our bodies need to be stronger, fitter and healthier for life. These elements are the pillars of my training philosophy.
Functional movement and moving well is not a luxury it’s a necessity. Creating stability in your body will allow you to move well, develop flexibility and create the platform you need to build strength, agility and sustainable fitness. Whether you are just starting your fitness journey, returning to exercise after injury or illness, training for an event or looking for motivation and support, I will use these principles to create the unique programmes needed for you to be meet your goals.
These principles are underpinned by my training in yoga, Pilates, personal training and exercise therapy. My understanding of anatomy, biomechanics and movement allow me to really understand your body, how it works and how to get the very best from it. Using the core exercise of Pilates, the poses and flow of yoga and the elements of fitness training your programmes will be varied, progressive and challenging with some homework to keep you on track.
A full body assessment is the starting point to determine the exercises we will master together to create stability, optimise movement and develop flexibility. Your programme will evolve as you do, increasing intensity and developing balanced strength.
Throughout the weeks we will review, reflect and refine to ensure your programme addresses any challenges, builds on achievements and progresses to meet your goals. I will guide you, support you, motivate and teach you, giving you the power to reach and maintain your goals.
